Lake Wales, Florida, September 24, 2010 - Petersen Industries, Inc., manufacturer of QUADSTICK® complete mechanical controls, filed a patent infringement suit against Hol-Mac Corporation on September 10, 2010. Patent Infringement Suit No. 4:10CV 152 TSL-LRA was filed in the Federal District Court in Jackson, Mississippi in response to a dual three-function mechanical joystick control on grapple loaders offered by Hol-Mac Corporation. The QUADSTICK® complete mechanical controls were invented and developed at Petersen and Petersen was awarded U.S. Patent No. 7,353,652 on April 8, 2008.
QUADSTICK® controls are mechanically linked dual walk-thru joysticks for mounting on Lightning Loader® grapple trucks, designed to replace traditional valve handle controls. Since there are no electronic components, QUADSTICK® controls were developed to withstand an all-weather environment and do not require regular maintenance other than occasional spray grease.
